Six days ago, I returned from Asia on a very strategic trip for church planting. Today I leave again for Asia, but this time the purpose is totally different. We are going to the Holy Land of Israel to study Bible history and walk where Jesus walked. Our son Danny joins us along with a group of twenty.
Last week Asia trip report:
We were able to make solid plans for our first ever training of church planters for Thailand later this year where the need there is immense. The next step is translation of our materials to the Thai language.
We connected with about a dozen church planting leaders. One of them, Rev. Santosh Thomas said to me, "The best part of this conference was meeting you and hearing about the practical training you can provide for us for church planting." He is located in Kashmir, the least reached area of India, near Pakistan. His father is one of the leading Christians in the Himalaya region. Pray with me that we can fulfill his desire for us to train church planters in this area of Christian persecution and tremendous need.
We secured a solid invitation for our first ever training in China, scheduled for this May. We also made several other contacts with strategic leaders for ministry in China, including one seminary student who we are connecting with a leader in India to do a church planting internship.
Thank you for praying for this trip!
1. Translation to Chinese and plans for our training in China in May need to proceed quickly.
2. Solid progress needs to occur in our office where we need to develop our infrastructure of staff, Information Technology, policies and procedures.
3. Our son Danny who is going to the Holy Land with me, wants to go into full-time ministry. Please pray for guidance on his life. He starts Biola University after we return from this trip.
4. PTL Carolyn and her dad are over their illnesses. But please pray for our son Gabe who has been struggling the most since the death of him grandma, Carolyn?s mom just one month ago now.
Your prayers are so strategic...Thanks!.
