Missionary Update: Robert & Cirena Smith
Post Date: 2011-09-28 20:00:17
Dear Family and Friends,
Recently, we spent a little more than two weeks in Palawan providing a vital support to tribal missionaries there. Despite finding myself (Smitty) sick in bed with the flu for four days not long after we arrived, we had a great time reconnecting with fellow missionaries around the island as well as friends out in town.
To learn more about our time there and what God is teaching us, check out our recent web article, Providing Support in Palawan.
For prayer, please pray for Sheila Marie as she will be turning 10 yrs. old on September 28th.
We will be spending her birthday in Cebu with other family members before returning to Manila on September 30th.
Please pray also for our co-worker on Palawan, Betty Binder, who had to come out of the village with her family do to contracting Denge Fever which has proven to be quite serious.
She has been in the hospital for five days now due to low blood count and is need of donors.
Unfortunately our blood type does not match so we are unable to help.
Lastly, please be in prayer for an upcoming language review. I am currently scheduled for October 10th but am thinking to delay until early November for one more month of good review. Lord bless to all.
In His Service,
Robert and Cirena Smith
