Mobilizing the Latin Church to Go to Unreached People Groups
Last month I visited the offices of Etnopedia.? You can find out more about them at Etnopedia.org and Etnopedia.info.? They are located in Oaxaca City in Mexico.? Their goal is to have a whole website in many languages that allow people to update unreached people group information.
Etnopedia is connected to the greater network of agencies and churches throughout Mexico and Latin America through COMIMEX and COMIBAM.? COMIMEX is a strategic evangelical alliance whose vision is to glorify God by strengthening national outreach efforts to reach with the Gospel all the ethnic groups of Mexico and the world.
Etnopedia is used throughout the world to create translations of people group profiles with specific information available from individuals actually working with that people group.? While I was there we worked on adding interactive mapping to the profiles.? These maps would allow the user to view where the people group is located.? The mapping platform would also allow individuals from around the world to update the locations of the people groups over the web and directly on the map.
The Latin Church is one of the largest missionary sending regions in the world.? They are sending workers into the Middle East, Central, Southern and Eastern Asia.? Continue to pray for laborers to be sent into the harvest.? Pray for tools like Etnopedia and the mobilization of missionaries to make disciples of all people groups!
The latest trend in computer and web based mapping is called Location Based Services (LBS).? By allowing people to share their location with the GPS built into their smart phone we are able to quickly identify where Christian activity is taking place.
Recently I have been consulted on utilizing smart phones and the web to allow Christian workers to update where church planting is happening and survey countries to find where ministry is currently taking place.
I am currently working on a project that would allow the Christian Community worldwide to connect better with maps and on Social Platforms which will open the door for collaboration.? Knowing where needs are and connecting those who are working on those needs with others who have a passion to reach out will create a synergy that should allow us to see great movements of the Holy Spirit.? There will be more information in the months to come.? Please pray for us as we embark on an endeavor that will lead to many more in the body of Christ working better together!|
Mission agencies and churches are working in a variety of locations around the world doing all kinds of works.? Our heart has always been that the wise use of resources will allow us to begin evangelization and church planting in the most needed places.? Mapping has been and continues to make the strategic use of information possible.

- Kristin?s Bible Study in the neighborhood has been going well.
Caleb completed his first soccer season with the Richmond Kickers.? They were undefeated this spring season.? Next week he will be graduating from elementary school.
Nate wrapped up his soccer season as well.? He tried out for the Richmond Kickers and was selected for the team.? The splint on his wrist is from a bike accident but that did not slow him down.
Chloe?s school had a carnival and she participated in every event.? Her favorites were the cake walk and the pie eating contest.
