Sports videos, funny videos, stupid videos, meaningful videos, etc. And from time to time I’ll come across a video that sticks out to me. I thought I might as well share a few of those now: This little boy is awesome. My kids better be this cool. He’d probably be able to handle our memory verses… Maybe you think this guy’s a little “interesting” (weird) or kind of funny to watch, but he caught my attention for one reason: I can recite lyrics to my favorite songs and quote certain movies like it’s nobody’s business, but how much time do I spend filling my head with meaningful stuff (especially Scripture)? My older brother’s church made this video to get people ready for their summer camp. As many times as I’ve watched it and laughed through it, I still always feel like someone’s watching me afterwards… Happy East..er… um…Resurrection Day We showed this video last weekend during Sunday’s service.
P.S. The King kinda scares me…a lot. Team Score Updates! It’s been a couple weeks since we last let you know the scores for the team competition. So…here they are: First: Cheer (2,405,000) Second: All (2,308,000) Third: Surf (2,085,000) Fourth: Tide (1,955,000) As you can see, the scores are really close! Remember, that the winning team at the end of the semester is going to win a free trip to Boomer’s. Some new pictures up!We just put up some pictures from the Breakaway Christmas Party, Winter Camp, and the Ice Palace. GO FAST – This FridayGuys and Dads: Our Father/Son Ministry (GO FAST) is meeting tomorrow night {Friday, March 7th} at PCC.The meeting will be in B-1 @ 6:30. Free pizza will be provided. Hope to see all our guys and dads there! 8th Grade Camping RetreatSo the wait is over and you finally know what we’re doing. On May 16-18 (Fri-Sun) we’ll be going up to a beach in Ventura to spend the weekend camping and having an awesome time. This is definitely going to be one of the highlights of the year, so if you’re an 8th grader, you’re not gonna want to miss this!!! We’ll spend some time swimming, doing a video scavenger hunt, hanging out, having bonfires/making smores, going out to a restaurant together for dinner, playing some sweet games that we’ve never played before, and doing a couple surprise activities that we’ll tell you about once we get up there. We’ll have all the details for you in a nice little brochure in the next week or two. The cost for the weekend is going to be pretty stinking cheap considering all that we’re going to be doing (definitely well below the $100 mark). We’re only going to be able to take a limited number of people, so once we start sign-ups, make sure you get your spot reserved. I’m so stoked about this and am really looking forward to this weekend! How was your week?Hope you all had a great last few days. Sorry that there weren’t any updates during the last few days…I spent the week down in San Diego at a Pastors Conference. The weather was great, I was able to learn a lot and have some fun, but I missed hanging out with you guys this week. I’m sure you had an awesome time with your small groups on Tuesday. I’m looking forward to seeing you all this weekend or Tuesday night. And 8th graders…make sure you’re there this Tuesday to hear the surprise we’ve been waiting to tell you about. |
